March 2025 brought two milestones for Greyman OPS.
CASA Remote Operator’s Certificate
We were very excited that CASA issued the Greyman OPS Remote Operator’s Certificate (ReOC) in early March 2025. The certificate covers a wide range of capabilities and aircraft, and we will be partnering with clients to help their own Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) holders achieve even more.
We are developing our own in-house use cases for DJI thermal drones, particularly the Matrice 4T, both as a stand-alone aircraft and as part of the Dock 3 package. That adds even more capability to our work in invasive species management and biosecurity.
Our current ReOC (CASA.ReOC.9077) runs until 31 March 2029. It now includes endorsements for the DJI Agras T100 and for powered-lift aircraft up to 25 kg, as well as night operations, and we are working towards approval for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations.
DJI Dock 3 Solutions training
Later that month, I completed the Dock 3 Solutions training program at DJI in Melbourne for Tier 1 Enterprise Dealers [CONFIRM: “Tier 1 Enterprise Dealer” still the correct DJI dealer level]. It was great to meet other Tier 1 dealers and share use cases and experiences, and we are very excited about installing these machines for our clients.
We then took our two Dock 3 systems to the National Feral Pig Action Plan Conference on the Gold Coast, where I spoke about delivering specialist feral animal management programs in highly restricted areas.
What it means for clients
