Feral pigs, deer, cats, dogs and other pests are exploding in numbers after several years of rain. If you work in an environment team on a mine site, or you are a landholder neighbouring a mine, you will know that feral pigs and dogs are a significant issue on just about every mine site in Queensland and NSW. Until recently there have not been many options to deal with them.
Built for mine sites
Greyman OPS specialises in delivering safe, effective animal control services to the Australian mining sector. We are fully licensed, insured and qualified to be inducted on mine sites.
In November 2023 and February 2024 we delivered aerial and ground feral animal removal programs at Central Queensland coal mines, for clients including Jellinbah Mining and Coronado Global Resources. We later shared insights from those integrated programs on a panel at the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition in Mackay, covering how we:
- addressed valid concerns around safety, regulation, security and risk;
- minimised interruptions to mine operations; and
- achieved many unexpected benefits, especially for community and landholder relationships.
In the 2025 Australian Mines and Services Handbook
We appreciated the opportunity to lead the Pest and Feral Animal Control section, as well as the Drone Supply & Services section, of the 2025 Australian Mines and Services Handbook.
What we offer
- Integrated pest animal management planning for mine sites and rehabilitation areas
- Aerial and ground control programs
- Thermal drone surveys
- Programs that support neighbouring landholders
